Public Financial Management (PFM) Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PFM Consultant to join our team, helping institutions design strategies, strengthen governance, and implement key financial reforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in public financial management, including budgeting processes, accounting systems, and financial reporting. You will work closely with government clients to analyze their current frameworks, identify areas for improvement, and lead the implementation of modern, transparent, and efficient financial systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proven ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion.

As a key member of our consulting team, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ public financial management systems and identifying reform priorities.
  • Designing and implementing reform initiatives, such as the transition to accrual-based accounting (IPSAS), performance-based budgeting (PBB), and integrated GFMIS solutions.
  • Developing detailed project plans, managing timelines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.
  • Providing expert advisory services on fiscal policy, revenue administration, and expenditure management.
  • Leading workshops and capacity-building sessions to train government officials on new systems and processes.
  • Working collaboratively with a diverse team of subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
